Refund Policy

This Returns and Refunds Policy applies to all business-to-business (B2B) transactions for commercial supplies purchased from A&A Howden Supplies Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By placing an order, the customer (“you”, “your”) agrees to be bound by this policy.

This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

2. Eligibility for Returns

We may, at our sole discretion, accept returns requested within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery, provided that:

  • Goods are unused, unopened, and in their original packaging

  • Goods are in fully resalable condition

  • A valid proof of purchase (invoice or order number) is provided

We reserve the absolute right to refuse any return that does not strictly comply with these requirements.

3. Non-Returnable Goods

The following goods are strictly non-returnable, except where faulty or supplied in error:

  • Custom-made, bespoke, or special-order items

  • Perishable or time-sensitive goods

  • Clearance, discounted, or final sale items

  • Goods expressly marked as non-returnable at the time of purchase

4. Return Authorisation Process

No returns will be accepted without prior written authorisation.

To request a return, you must:

  1. Notify us within 14 days of delivery via sales@aahowdensuppliesltd.co.uk

  2. Provide full order details and the reason for return

  3. Obtain a Return Authorisation before dispatching any goods

Any goods returned without authorisation may be rejected and returned to you at your cost.

5. Return Shipping and Risk

  • You are responsible for all return shipping costs, unless goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied

  • Goods remain at your risk until received and accepted by us

  • We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service

We accept no liability for goods lost or damaged in transit during return.

6. Inspection and Acceptance

All returned goods will be inspected upon receipt.

We reserve the right to determine, at our sole discretion, whether the goods meet the return criteria.

No refund, credit, or replacement will be issued unless and until goods are approved following inspection.

7. Refunds, Credits and Restocking Fees

Where a return is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method or as account credit, at our discretion

  • A restocking fee of up to 3% may be deducted

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable, except where the return results from our error

We reserve the right to offset any sums owed against amounts due to you.

8. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

You must notify us of any defective, damaged, or incorrect goods within 14 days of delivery.

Where a valid claim is accepted, we will, at our option:

  • Repair the goods

  • Replace the goods

  • Provide a full or partial refund

In such cases, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs.

Failure to notify us within this timeframe may result in rejection of your claim.

9. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • Any liability which cannot be excluded under UK law

Subject to the above:

  • We shall not be liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, or indirect or consequential loss

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the price paid for the goods in question

10. No Consumer Rights

This policy applies strictly to commercial (B2B) transactions.

You acknowledge that you are not a consumer, and therefore the provisions of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other consumer protection regulations do not apply, except where required by law.
